I have not had a CCM but I have had two others. I liked the idea of having the gearbox up in the air away from the rocks that might be hit by a disc mower gearbox. I saw one that had a little tweak in the gear case that still ran perfectly OK. The down side is as others have said, the weight. You may want to consider a Quick Hitch to go with it, and as it swings to the rear for transport you may want some additional front weight in order to keep the tractor headed where you want it to go.
