I work in the aerospace industry, more specifically in aerospace electronics, and if we are dealing with more than 30V, it is considered a dangerous voltage and is placarded as such. I understand the electrical engineer's desire for higher voltage, as well as the bean counter's, since that means less copper in the system, but I can't believe that it will happen, mostly for liability reasons. First time somebody starts a car on fire and burns down their garage and house, killing their family who was asleep upstairs, the fact that the aerospace industry, and by extension, the government, considers 30V to be the hazardous limit will come up in court and the manufacturer will be held liable. It just ain't worth it. Of course I could be wrong. It's happened before. ;o)
