Farmall Cub pulls down.

I just finished a rebuild on my Cub and the engine seems to be running great, however, it seems to be lacking in power. I realize the Cub is no power house but, after running my dads, I know it should do better than it is. I have a 46 in. mower, and the grass isn't over 4 in. tall, and still it pulls the tractor down and will kill it if I don't stop.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I like the little tractor, and would hate to give it up, I'm getting agrivated and am nearly ready to sell. HELP PLEASE! Anyone with sugestions or tips, feel free to email me at: [email protected]
