Ive talked with a woman who worked in the canneries years ago.She said that when you couldnt put the sardine waste back in the sea the ground fish disappeared.Russians ships were in penobscot bay catching pogies.My father in law used sardine waste to fertilze hay back in the 30s.I understand Ill have to register to fish salt water once a year.I used to get a few mackeral.Ive traded saw sharpening for mackeral over the years.Fixed tvs for firewood when customers were broke.What the hell has happened the old Maine ways.
