I know that in the Colorado mountains, the snow plows clear the school bus routes first. I think their buses use either studded tires or chains. Their drivers are used to it and know how to handle it. It's the almost empty buses that scare me. Most of these school bus drivers down here have trouble with rain.I grew up driving on muddy roads on the farm and have a fair amount of experience on snow and ice in Colorado, so I can handle it better than most. I sure don't want anything to do with black ice though.
