I worked mids on patrol for several years. My biggest problem was trying to stay awake on the drive home (often had to take a road side nap just to make it to bed).
I always kept a fan running in the room, it kept the room cooler plus would block out most noise.
Some guys would stay up all day then sleep in the evening until time for work. That limits you to 6 or 8 hours depending on when you went to bed, but you went from sleep to work just like you do on day shift.
Others like to hit the sack as soon as you get home then sleep as much as you can but still have the evenings with the family or work on projects.
Wish you were in Texas, I need some dozer work done and don't want to take it to a dealer !!
