If you had caught me back in 1992 I was down in Texas stationed on shore duty at Naval Station Ingleside. Out of all of the places I've been, other than home, I liked Texas the best....even better than here in NC in many respects. Saddly I had a serious girlfriend back at home and was thinking about getting married or I would have stayed in Texas. I say saddly because about 4 months after getting out and coming home I got dumped for a guyt in the Army. Seems she liked her men best when they were somewhere she wasn't. Oh well if I hadn't moved back home for her I'd have never had the chance to eventually meet the wonderful woman I did wind up marrying 18 years later....
