My pole barn was built with a 2"x6" PT border (standing on edge). This allows the slab to be poured directly on the ground. A single continuous pour is best. A 4" slab with fiber reinforced concrete is all you need. You cannot drive machinery on anything thinner. Be certain to install at least one floor drain; in a building that size I'd maybe use two. Be very careful to get the slope right or all that snow will end up as water puddles and then freeze on you.
