The tractor quit. I checked and had no spark. Investigation, showed the points had closed up due to the cam follower having disintergrated. Replaced points and condenser. Tractor started, but lacked power, then quit. Also seems to run hot. After tractor quit,I checked for spark again and had it. Re-gapped points anyway. Still won't start, so, pulled a plug and found it dry. Blew out gas line and carb and tractor started once more. Still lacks power and seems hot. Could timing be off? How do you time this engine. Could carb be too lean? Seems as though this is an ignition problem due to faulty points.Confused by engine starting after blowing out carb. Could this be a coincidental fuel and ignition problem? HELP,PLEASE. THANKS,Les
