Don't know why everyone is afraid of TA's. Got a 560 with over 13,000 hours on, and have never had TA troubles with it. Don't know how many hours are on our 300, but we've never had to service the TA on it either. The old mechanical TA"s need less maintinence than the hydraulic TA's. I think the problem with people have TA troubles are a lack of maintinence to the tranny fluid, and feathering the TA. You always slam a TA forward and back. Never feather it. Don't get me wrong, I like 2 bangers. We've got a JD A and a B in our strictly red machine shed. I just don't care to sit on them all day.
