I got a similar bath last Friday. A little shop I do some part time mill/lathe work at has an older compressor and no moisture removal equipment, you just drain the tank once in a while. Well as you can imagine moisture collects in the air drops and those that aren't used often can contain alot. Well I used one of those to clean up a part I had just polished a bearing journal on. Instead of pointing away and testing it I aimed right into a keyway next to the journal and got a thorough bath of stinky, oily compressor moisture. Luckily I closed my eyes (safety glasses on) in time and had my long lab coat on.
I'm glad it wasn't coolant because would I have a reaction to exposure like that.
