As a follow up to a thread on engine heaters at the crawler forum I have a question.
I have always heard two schools of thought on how to use a tank type engine heater on a tractor that you use every day. One school says to plug it in right after you shut down for the day, that way you use the engine heat so that the heater only has to maintain temperature overnight. The other school says to plug it in an hour before you need to start the tractor. Has anyone actually experimented to see which uses less electricity?
