John T, our kids are also raised up and gone but we have some good memories of doing that. When we first started camping we went out to the Black hills in a 1961 Ford 3/4 ton with a topper. We had three kids and in order to accommodate sleeping I made a plywood shelf on the top of the pickup box so the kids could sleep there while we were below them in the bed of the pickup. We had to move everything from the back into the cab for the night. Anyway at a campground at Chamberlain SD, it was just getting dark and we had the end gate down and were laying there looking out and I said to my wife, boy have we got it made. :o) Things sure have changed.
