Can you do damage to the alternator or regulator if you charge batteries with them still hooked up? 12 volt system, with two six volt in series?? (International 826). Could I set charger on 12 and connect Pos to the post that goes to starter and the Neg to frame bolt? Would this charge both batteries equally or as needed? Once before I charged the two batteries on this tractor separately on 6-volt mode but disconnected all cables.
