Hi Warren, From what I've seen of the new ones, your not going to have a tractor that will last your life time the way the older models were built. Some of the new low cost is because new mfg ideas speed the process up but more likey the materials have become cheaper in quality and won't last. Look how much aluminum and plastic is being used on the new ones. Plastic will not last in the sun. Aluminum will not be as strong as cast iron no matter how thick it is. I for one paid more than I should have for a 40yr old, worn out backhoe/loader as there hard to find here. When I'm done rebuilding everything I will have a tractor backhoe/loader that will last me my life time without a doubt. Parts will have cost me 1/2 of what the tractor backhoe/loader did. For me it was cost effective cause I did my own rebuild work. The net result will be, I have a tractor backhoe/loader for less than a 1/3 the cost of a new one and it's PAID for. T_Bone
