please don't sandblast tractor

Today antique tractor tip covers sandbasting a tractor.DON'T DO IT! There's just too many places that your forcing sand into on a tractor that you can never protect. Front wheel bearings, axle pivit pin, spindle shafts, tierod and drag link ends,water pump shaft, PTO shaft, rear axle seals,belt pully shaft,steering box, and so on, all will have sand forced into them, and if you don't disassemble and clean them you sure will get that grinding noise. So if you've got to sandblast, thake the tractor apart first, and blast only the individual parts that need it. And even then your never sure that you can get all the sand out.It makes me sick to see pictures of tractors in magazines like Antique Power that are in the process of being sandblasted. If they're sold, I pity the poor unsuspecting buyer.
