I live in town but ahve been considering moving to the farm. The house behind us has become a rental home. The people there have two or three dogs that bark all night most nights. Guy is a real jerk, doesn"t work, but his wife does. Talked to him nicely about the dogs, but nothing changed. Called local law, nothing happened. Too close to other houses for a lead based solution to the problem. Hate to move, but really considering it.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
