Sandblasting and warpage

I am restoring a 49 IH W-9. The sheet metal has heavy surface rust and almost no paint left (except on the undersides of panels). I have a sandblaster and would like to use it to clean the sheet metal, but have heard much concern about warpage. I know firsthand that sandblasting can warp automotive sheet metal, but this tractors' is easily twice as thick as any car that I have ever seen. I'm wondering if any one has any experience with sandblasting tractor sheet metal and have they had warpage problems. Thanks, Kirk
