You dont need battery maintainers.My tractor sit idle from mid december til march 1.I check the batteries monthly with an 89 cent hydrometer.Both tractors start on March 1 ,no charging.I do the same with my sawmill battery.Wal Mart chargers Ive looked at are made in china.A lightning strike on the power line will short the chargers diodes the flames will come out the top of your 17 buck fire bomb.Lightning is active 12 months a year here.
