How particular are you? I took a plate like Dan (I think mine is 3/8") about 2' long and a few inches wider than frame rails on 1997 K1500 Chevy. Welded nut on bottom of plate and cut hole in bed just ahead of axle. My plate is on top of bed for easy removal if trade trucks. Drill through bed into frame. Have to do a little measuring-remember frames on these trucks get narrower as you go back. Bed Liner lays over it just fine. Not fancy but fairly inexpensive.
