MTD makes the tractors for Sears and Yardman also. These are typically stamped metal frames with Briggs or Kohler engines. I have a 18.5 HP Sears garden tractor among my old iron. It's ok, but I view it as a disposable tractor. The deck has taken alot of abuse in three years and will need to be replaced. I've never been impressed with the cut though. The tractor itself is ok.
