I want to make a concrete form so that I can make capstone blocks for the top of a wood timber wall. Basically 24" long, 10" wide 4" thick with a 1-2 inch recess down the center to rest on 4x6 wood timbers.
Has anyone here made their own concrete forms? If I do this and pour concrete into forms how is the new block released from the form? (slather the inside of the form with oil first?) I have never seen the type of capstone that I need.
Can anyone give me some insight---I may or may not do this depending on cost/labor.
