This is the country Lutheran Church I grew up in. My great grandfather was a founder and a charter member in 1890. Because of financial considerations, the congregation merged with another in 1965 and built a new church in town. Services ceased in 1965 and this property was subsequently sold to a private party to use the parsonage as a residence.
The building is now sitting and rotting down. Nobody can do anything because it's private property and the owner refuses to do anything even though he's been contacted.
