I posted about a month ago about the local Methodist Church closing after 177 years.
We actually go to it's "sister" church, the old church was packed to overflowing at the deconsecration services. But it was spending 500 to 800 dollars out of it's savings to keep it open. Not handicap accessible, lots of other issues also. It's for sale.
But, good new for another old church building was that Western Illinois Threshers bought it, it is already on the house moving beams moved to across the road ready for it's final home at the show grounds. I assume they are just waiting for everything to dry up at the show grounds. DOUG
