Are Narrow fronts with Loaders always dangerous?

I am a novice in the tractor arena. I have the opportunity to buy a nice 1956 Farmall 300 with live PTO, good engine and straight tin with a loader (for $2800). The problem is it has a narrow front end which some people have told me are dangerous with loaders attached. The man who owns the tractor lived in MN and farmed. He said he never had any problems with it. Who is right? Is there a right way to use a loader, like keeping it low to the ground when moving manure? Would this alleviate the danger, or are narrow front ends with loaders always trouble? Also are narrow front ends only trouble if you hit a hole? I have alot of gopher holes in my pasture. Thank you for your wisdom.
