I have an early 70's MTD with a 16hp Briggs. The engine model is 326431 and has no spark. This engine has had the points removed and coil updated. I have no spark and have replaced the coil.
Is it possible to use a normal automotive 12 volt coil on this engine if i reinstall the points?
If not any ideas what would cause the no spark issue.
