Satellite tv goes down because the signal won't travel through the rain and clouds in thunderstorms and hard snowsqualls. If you had any friends they would probably be telling you that their digital tv goes out sometimes when it rains. I don't have a cheap dish. I have no obstructions whatsoever to the southern sky. For somebody that has no idea about electronics I sure have enough of them and have done a lot of house and pole barn wiring. You just have the idea that every body but you is cheap and broke and can't afford a new tv, or a new tractor, or a new generator, or a decent satellite dish, or a good convertor box, or a new car, or any education, or any knowledge of anything. How people get like you is beyond me.
