what to do?

I recently helped out a widowed neighbor whose ~5 acre field had not been mowed in probably 3 yrs. It was mostly grass (fescue?) with some knee high pine saplings and some briars. I cut it with a five foot rotary mower behind my '59 Dexta. This did leave quite a lot of grass, etc piled up on the field. Is this useable for anything if baled? Will it create any problem if it's left there? I don't have any other equipment for baling, etc. but maybe could recruit some help from other locals if it would create a problem if left this way. If there's any use for it she may be able to sell it or trade for labor of baling. Any suggestions? Thanks.
