Successive trips through with the mower, maybe a month apart, will mulch everything up quite nicely. I doubt there is any feed or bedding value to this grass with pine seedlings in it,but it can be compost. Now that you know what hazards might exist, you can also run the mower closer to the ground. This will take care of the windrows you created on the first mowing. I`ve had very good luck reclaiming acreage this way.
