There is no such thing as a positve or negative ground battery. there is just a battery.
Ground potential is determined by what battery cable.
N's left the factory s 6v positive ground.
sn is found on the block, left side.. above the starter, aft of the oil can. justunder the seam of the head and block.. it's on a 4" x 1" boss.. it is lightly hand stamped.. all 8n's sn's start with 8n.. all 9n/2n sn's start with 9n.
It's possible to find 9n/2n enines on 8n tractors.. etc.. as the engines are mor eor less interchangeable.. etc...
