If a hyd. motor is leaking in the chain case, you can tell by taking the level/fill plug out. I'm not sure how a Bobcat chain case is filled, but I had that problem on my Thomas. There was so much oil in the one chain case that I thought I needed an axle seal. 10 litres too much oil! I didn't want to try to fix it out in the boonies with no shop, so I took it in. Sadly ( read: expensively) I needed more than just a seal kit. I needed a new wheel motor. This wouldn't affect the bucket cylinder only though. Check the linkage for the control valve and see if the valve spool is moving in and out properly. There could be dirt or something preventing the valve from moving. I have had that happen as well. I clump of hard clay got jammed under the foot pedal. I don't know if you have hand or foot controls but if there is no external leak, I'd check the valve for proper movement first. If the hyd. oil got really low, everything would quit working and several expensive parts could get wrecked. Dave
