My inherited tractor is a 53 NAA. The charging system has been giving me fits now for over six months. A forum member, John T, posted a trouble shooting guide, but I think it was for an A circuit system. I tried to IM him but it that feature isn't working. does anyone know what modifications must be made to his system for a b circuit?
New battery ( 6 Volt Pos grnd). New VR (6 volt B circuit for NAA) New Ammeter. And finally a new generator from this site to fit a Jubilee.
Wiring is exactly as Jubilee wiring diagram shows. All connections cleaned. Still shows no charge! Tractor running at idle a test across battery posts shows 6.1 volts. Tractor at 1500 RPM shows the same 6.1 volts With key on, tractor not running the ammeter doesn't move from center Polarized new generator field to battery hot (neg post) Still, it appears that there is no charge to battery. Any and all help would be very welcome
