I would say the balance shafts in the pan siezed due to lack of oil, this in turn broke the balance shaft chain/sprocket witch in turn broke the timing belt, If you do not have compression on all the cylinders, you have a broken timing belt, BTW that engine is a close tolerance, if the belt broke, you may have bent valves. Or it could be something really simple, there is no low oil pressure lockout device, if you have spark, fuel and air it should run, if you have compression.
