It's not a wrecking yard but when you are in the Edmonton area, you might consider driving 40 minutes southeast of there to the town of Wetaskiwin where you'll find the Reynold's Alberta Museum. It's a transportation and agricultural-based museum that is world class. Check it out on a Google search. Also has an airplane museum there too along with the biggest warehouse of stuff you ever want to lay your eyes on. Sometimes the warehouse is open for tours in addition to the museums on site. Northeast of Edmonton about 40 minutes is a huge tractor wrecker in the town of Lamont. It's called Aldon Auto and they might have something there that interests you and they don't mind people going for a stroll and browsing.
