If you are going to DC, plan on staying south in VA, around Springfield, VA. Safer, cleaner, cheaper and you can take the Metro anywhere you want to go into DC. Spend the evening in Old Town Alexandria visiting colonial stuff and pub crawling, plan on visiting Mt Vernon (washington's plantation), then spend a day in Fredricksburg visiting Civil War sites and ferry Farm, washington's boy hood home. I see this stuff every day, so I'm kind of jaded- but I can defintely tell you the best/least expensive way to do this area. Other stuff in the DC area by metro- Air/ Space Museum, NRA museum, Smithsonian of course, the new Marine Corp Museum. And...memory lane farm, home of world champion appaloosas! After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
