Who gets your bolts?
I usually try the hardware store first, then the auto parts stores. I'm out of luck here.
Since I'm trying to basically put dual tires on my durascamp, I need longer lug bolts. .621" knurl, 1/2" threads, I'd like them 4 3/8" long, but I'm told the shops around here can't even get them that long and I need to drill out my hubs and replace my rims. Existing lug bolts are 1 3/4 inches long.
Now what do I do? I'm told redi-bolt is grade 2, and will snap before I go 10 feet if I put nuts on the ends of the existing lugs and use 2 more nuts to keep the outer rim in place. Or it will work loose all the time.
