I have owned two small Yanmars one a American Market 155 4wd and a grey market 1401 and both these tractors gave excellent service. I still have the 1401 that I maintain 4 acres. I use it to mow, till, plow and also operate a chipper shredder. The 1401 is approx. 16 hp. I also have a 60 acre farm approx. 90 miles away and there is a lot of steep ground therefore I have a NH 3930 4wd and a grey market Mitsubishi BDF2 dozer. As for parts availability I have had more difficulity with the NH parts procurment than with the Yanmar. There is good parts availability for many Yanmar grey models and fast service. I have found the part prices to be comperable with NH,JD etc. The secret of buying a grey market tractor is know your dealers reputation. There are some junk grey markets being sent to Viet Nam for a "total reconditioning" and imported to the U.S. beware of these. I feel that grey Mitsubishi parts are harder to come by but I have completely replaced the undercarriage of my dozer without parts problem however the parts were pricy.
