So, I've picked up a 6BTA for my White 2-135 repower project. It was a test engine from Case IH with 2700 hours on it. It's sat for the last 10 years.
At idle, this engine has a tendency to surge. This occurs even at high idle. I don't have a radiator on it so I'm limited to only running it for a few minutes at a time. What do you think is causing the surging? Could it just be from sitting and getting it out and running it hard will settle things down? It has a rotary pump.....are there any external adjustments that would help dampen the response.
