Well, I think a lot depends on what you are putting the battery in. With you tractor, I wouldn't put one of the walmart batteries in. There is going to be a lot of vibration and you need a battery that was designed for the vibration. I know that batteries from New Holland and Case IH, they pour the epoxy in the bottom, and then put the plates in. Many other manufactures pour the epoxy in from the top. Exide does build their batteries. But, you really get what you pay for. My uncle had a buick and the battery died in it. Well, when he took the battery out, it was the original GM battery. Well, that battery was 8 years old. He took it right back to the GM dealer and said give me one just like it. OEM parts are built for the application. Each OEM specifies engineering standards.
