Well its about 15-20 out right not. I went to start my Oliver S88 and it started and died and will not start again. I then tried an 8N ford thats also 12 volts and it will not start. Well just for the heck of it I tried the Case SC which is still 6 volts and it turned slow but after a few turns started right up and just purred. So the morale of the story is this. If every thing is as it should be a tractor will start up on 6 volts even when cold so why switch to 12 volts unless you just have to because of other problems
