I got pulled over in NE taking nephew's club calves to the fair, had bought current stickers but forgot to put them on. NE DOT boy called IA computer which said I had never bought stickers so I got a ticket for expired registration. Went home found current stickers called courthouse in county where ticket was issued, they said just bring in proof before court date on ticket no problem. It was an hour drive so I waited til I needed to go any way and went to straighten it out. County attorney said he would waive the $10 fine but not the $45 costs, because proof had to be brought in within 10 days. I said that was not what I was told when I called this courthouse, he said sorry all you can do is come to the court date and argue with the judge. Did not want to drive 2 hours again and probably lose any way so I coughed up $45 and got my tough $h!t card punched. Lee
