I once got a Parking ticket from San Diego on my new 1978 Saab 99. The license on the ticket was the one that came in the mail that I never put on the car because I had already ordered personalized plates for it. I lived in Monterey co. some 400 miles to the north and had never driven this car In San Diego or near it. I called them and they said I could pay the ticket or fight it in court no other options were available to me. My wife wrote the governor and within a week we got an apology from San Diego. Funny how they listen to Governor. Walt PS The city was going though new plates and writing parking tickets to out of area residents in hopes that they would pay the small fee rather than fight it.
