With a good oil, 20-1 will be too much. Don't mix standard and synthetic oil. Some synthetics can run up to 100-1 but most people will run them about 50-1. Optimal is a very good non synthetic oil and I run it at 50-1 in a racing two stroke moto-cross bike. Many others do as well. I have run Castrol 2 stroke oil before at about 40-1. I have run my bike in a few six hour ice races and never had an oil related failure. Oils have gotten a lot better since the 70's. Dave
