First off anyone should give you a written quote, service quys hate that but they should do it. My tire shop would not do that to you. Other service people/contractors think they don't have to give a quote, (too much work) to do this. Some people said you don't have to hire them anymore. But in the meantime anyone asking for service should ask for a written quote before work is done. In the days of computers, there is no excuse and a handshake does not make it.
