OT: Brass or Stainless ball for Delta kitch faucet

I need to rebuild a single handle Delta faucet. Will a Brass or Stainless Ball last longer where there is hard water. (This is the ball which is inside the unit... see image below.) Brass is more expensive (and was recommended by the guys at Menards), but I trust stainless more. Also, the sink is not used that often. Thanks.
