'53 Moline UMIL help

I"m posting this for my father. He has a 1953 Moline UMIL. It is still in great running condition. We have found that it was built for the Corp of Engineers. We would like to have more information such as which branch and what was it"s exact use? We have searched extensivly on the web to no further findings. There has to be someone out there that either used this tractor for the corp or knows what it was used for.....The tractor would never leave his place but we are also curious as to what it"s worth might be?
