I agree with ya there- I have a couple line custom made for the power steering on my Oliver 1600 as the steering moter was replaced at one time. One of the lines is a rubber hose that has a compression fitting on one end that will go over a cut off steel line and make a very nice repair. I plan on having 2 more short peices made with those connection on both side for our massye 285, which has smalle leaks in both rubber flex lines in the steering circuit. The rest is all steel, but the hose is just so it has some flex. One is spongy the other is rock hard (don't worry, squeezed it with the tractor off and no oil preasure so as not to get oil under the skin. It was also just preasure washed and degreased for an overhaul so I can see exactly where the leaks are) Donovan from Wisconsin
