When you go to pull the axles jack up the entire front of the truck and place on jackstands, remove the brakes and hang them on the frame, remove the brake caliper and remove the rotor, Loosen but do not cmpletely remove the castle nut on the axleshaft, remove the 3 bots holding the bearing carrier. Place a large socket between the finger on the ujoint and the Axle tube. start the truck and gently rock the steering wheel so that the ujoint finger pushes against the socket and axle tube. The bearing carrier will push out of its mount. MUCH EASIER THAN BEATING WITH HAMMER LIKE MY DEALER DID AND THE CHILTONS SAYS TO DO. I got this method from a dealer mechanic and I've used it with great results. REMEMBER NOT TO STEP ON THE BRAKES WHEN YOU START THE TRUCK.
