That is one way to go about doing the job, another idea would be to take the rotary hoes and run back and forth "working" the ground, than take a grain drill and drill the seed into the soil vs. just broadcasting it on top of the ground. Doing it this way might give the seed a better chance for a good root foundation to form incomparison to hoping some of the seed gets into the ground before the birds eat it, or the water washes it away.

Just a thought.
