Boys, I didn't need to drive it.

Remember me...I asked about driving a tractor 70 miles. Well, at the auction on Saturday I went to see a 1967 JD loader 4020 gas and ad said 2700 hrs. I don't need it to do a lot a farming so I thought I may get it cheap because diesel is preferred. It was rough...had two rebuilds already [found out hrs were wrong], tires are 60%, fenders rusty, grill banged in, gages don't work and loader had a bale spear and manure bucket but no regular bucket (and that's what I really need). I'm not even sure about the PTO or 3 point because the whole demonstration was about 30 seconds. The owner was deceased but the boys told me it ran OK. It didn't seem to run that good to me but I thought with some TLC I could bring it back. I went to $7500 and didn't get it and I would still need to put a few bucks into this thing. I wanted a 4020 bad but didn't let emotions get the best of me. And I think I went too high considering what they showed me...but that's my fault. I do not regret losing this tractor. What do you guys think?
